WE ARE HERE!

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO .After the flight to Brunei, we had a few hours to do something. Both groups went into the town and had a look around. Everything is completely different to home life. Finally arrived in Kota Kinabalu at half past seven(our time- 7 hours ahead) last night. It was an extremeley long journey but lots of movies and games helped to pass the time. We went to our hostels, each groups at different ones but only five minutes away from each other. Once got over the initial shock of it not being five-star luxury it was fine:) Weather exactly like scotland... BOILING HOTTTTT! Just exploring KK now to find things to do for our rest days. Divers (in group 2) have a flight tomorrow to Semporna around 12-ish in the afternoon. Group 1 who are going to the jungle are getting trucks to Miki's survival camp. We have some messages from some of us so here they are.

Lots of love Erin Mitchell and Lois McBean. xxxxxxx

  28. Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to say hello and to wish you all the most amazing trip of your lives! The weather here is horrible so make the most of the hot weather.

The London Trip was brilliant - we had a great time and although it was quite rainy we did have a lovely day on Thursday so had great views from the London Eye and got loads of 'nice weather photos' from the walking tour - we all had a laugh at the random man who stripped down to his boxers and jumped on one of the lions which guard Nelson's Column at Trafalgar Square - can't quite imagine that happening at the Cross in Forfar!!

Anyway, hope the teachers are behaving! Have fun and take care!

  29. Hi folks

I have been following your Blog with interest and just a hint of nostalgia, when I read your comments about Brunei, KK and `the weather'.

I lived in brunei for three years, just around the time that they became independent from the UK, so it was a time of change in the region with great trepidation about their future.

It is a fascinating region and certainly a world apart from Forfar, so enjoy your visit and activities.

By the way, a `big moth' is one which is too big to put in your mouth without folding its wings :-) [an Iban / Dayak tracker told me that one]

    All the best.
